Janet Heald

Students see Janet Heald’s emails reporting on the latest lost and found additions on an almost daily basis, but her job description covers much more than just misplaced item management. Born in Virginia, Ms. Heald grew up in nearby Azusa, and it wasn’t until later in life that she moved to Upland, California. Ms. Heald started her career at The Webb Schools in the development office as a temporary employee in 1997 and quickly developed a reputation with her coworkers as a diligent worker who never looked for recognition or praise, and always did the right thing. Now her job encompasses all things Webb, as she is both an administrative assistant for the Advancement Office and a front desk staff member, interacting with alumni and current students alike. Students at Webb know her as a friendly face who is always willing to lend a hand in times of need, but outside of Webb Ms. Heald is a self-proclaimed TV-aholic who loves to snuggle up with her two cats, Chloe and Frankie, to watch a few episodes of Friends or Supernatural. Ms. Heald’s favorite part of working at Webb is being part of a large community of students and faculty, and her advice to Webbies is to “be yourself and be true to yourself going forward in life.”
