Payton Williams, Editor of Features
Payton Williams (‘18) is from Newport Beach and is a boarder here at Webb. She is excited to spend her last year as the Editor of Features for the Webb Canyon Chronicle. She is passionate about her role as a Spirit Commissioner for ASB and utilizes the same creativity in her articles for the school’s newspaper. Her articles tend to focus on new trends, current news, and local events. Payton takes inspiration from magazines and social media blogs that she checks regularly. These magazines include Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Refinery29. It was Media Arts at Webb that sparked Payton’s interest in new journalism platforms. She has worked to circulate both online and print articles and has experimented with publishing interactive pieces such as student profiles and online quizzes.
