Nichola Monroe (‘22)

Nichola Monroe (‘22) will begin her summer by traveling to her hometown of Basel, Switzerland. She plans on participating in many student climate strikes in Europe and immersing herself in knowledge on environmental issues to promote sustainability at Webb when she returns in the fall. Aside from her work as a political activist, she also plans on hanging out with old friends, biking, and traveling to Frankfurt, Germany while in Europe. Then, she will attend a civic leadership summer camp at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) for three weeks. Although she is a bit unsure of the program, she is excited to learn something new. For the last month of summer, Nichola will go to her home away from home in Orange County, California. She will spend time with family, do her summer reading to prepare for her sophomore year, and help her parents set up their new house in Dana Point.
