VWS volleyball added another victory to their successful season up at the Les Perry Gym on September 13th, 2019 while fellow Webbies rehearsed for Theme Nights the following day. They cruised by Garey High School to improve their overall record to 9-4. While the stands were not as packed as usual, the players were unaffected and won three straight sets (25-16, 25-10 and 25-17) to cap off the night.

Prior to the varsity game, the junior varsity team played an outstanding first set as they took an early 1-0 lead. Webb’s JV put up a strong performance despite falling short to Garey’s JV team in a 2-1 loss. However, momentum was not on the Gauls side as they took two narrow losses in the following two sets.

Roger Yen (‘21), team manager and member of the WSC varsity volleyball team, said, “This team has fantastic chemistry and has really surpassed expectations; I can see these girls getting ready for varsity next year.”

Webb volleyball will host Fairmont Prep on the 3rd of October. They hope to add to their outstanding season and make it one for the books.
