As the second-semester kicks off, the Webb community welcomes a new faculty member: Kenneth Dennie (‘15). Mr. Dennie graduated from Pomona College in 2019. He grew up in Fontana, CA and joined the Webb community in his junior year. Returning to Webb to teach Integrated Math II and AP Calculus AB, Mr. Dennie feels that it is “surreal” to be back as a teacher, and he is enjoying all the classes that he teaches. This experience has shown Mr. Dennie his love of teaching, and he is eager to learn from other teachers and wants to make sure his students are prepared for the future. Mr. Dennie is the youngest of three siblings and, interestingly enough, they all have names beginning with the letter ‘K.’ Following this trend, his father felt that Kenneth would be the perfect ‘K’ name because people could call him Kenny, which rhymes with their last name, Dennie. Mr. Dennie lives by the phrase, “That happens,” because he believes there are things in life he simply cannot control. He puts all his effort into his classes, and he hopes that his students see him as approachable and that they can stay in touch in the future.
