Webb Canyon Chronicle

Cathy Wang
Cathy Wang (‘21), a dog enthusiast who hails from Shanghai, is a new staff writer for the Webb Canyon Chronicle.  She attended the New York Times summer camp in journalism, a testament to her interest in the fourth estate. Cathy has always been intrigued by current events, particularly the tense China -- United States relationship. At Webb, Cathy enjoys going on Webb runs with her friends and frequenting open gym. Of course, her favorite activity is that of every Webbie: getting precious hours of extra sleep. In the classroom, Cathy thrives in the humanities and arts, particularly Mr. Roger’s American Idea class and in the visual arts. She hopes to bring this talent to the Webb Canyon Chronicle by expanding the publication’s focus on photo journalism as a first-year staff writer.
