Record: 2-11

Howie Kalter, mathematics department faculty:

Challenges: “A challenge this season was missing many of our senior players. So, we had a lot of new players coming up to varsity, and they stepped up and made up our varsity program.”

Successes: “I think one of our biggest successes was that we started the season off with 0 goalies and now we have three very confident goalies, and they had a great season.”

Highlight Athlete: “Mathew Gooch (‘22) and Nick Lee (‘22) had great seasons. Our goalie Viraj Nigam (‘23) was amazing, starting goalie this season.”

Nick Lee (‘22):

Challenges: “A challenge this season was COVID; our first six games got canceled because of new COVID restrictions, so we just had a lot less experience than the other teams.”

Thoughts on the season: “I feel like the season went well, we missed a lot of games because of COVID restrictions, but we played really well. We had a lot of fun in league, and we had a lot of new faces who came in and made a big impact on the program.”

Favorite memory: “My favorite memory has to be the Sierra Vista game where everyone had the opportunity to score. Our new players scored a lot as well, I think I scored 10 goals and Gooch scored 8. It was a really fun game.”
