About

Welcome to the Webb Canyon Chronicle, the student-run online news publication for The Webb Schools in Claremont, California. As members of the Journalism class, we spend every week uploading articles and updating our website to cover material that pertains to the people of Webb.

As journalists, our job is to be the voice of the students. This year we’re branching out to different platforms on social media as well as publishing more diverse content. In an age where there is so much violence and terror, it’s important to focus on the positives. Nevertheless, it’s our responsibility to cover all news, local or global, so when you pick up a paper, the world will be at your fingertips.

In order to have a voice, you have to be informed. So, read the paper. Read for information, read for those who can’t access what is available to you, read for others’ opinions, but most importantly, read so that you can develop a perspective that is unique to you.

Our Mission:

The Webb Canyon Chronicle strives to foster student voice. We investigate and report to impact the reader personally and provoke discussion. Our publication promotes the diversity of backgrounds, interests, and goals of the Webb community.
