Jordan Granda

Ever the trivia fanatic, Jordan Granda (‘22) placed fourth overall on the TV show, Genius Kids, during the summer in 2017. “A friend introduced me to Genius Kids and thought I could get in, so my sister and I auditioned and made it to the next round of ten people.” During the auditions in Burbank, Jordan and his sister were asked multiple choice questions and were judged on accuracy, speed, and ability to perform under pressure. While the questions were mainly science-oriented, him and the rest of the competitors were also quizzed on their geography and history skills. Ever since he was in elementary school, Jordan has enjoyed learning concepts outside of what he is focusing on at school. Prior to the competition, he spent a few weeks brushing up on his knowledge of European and Asian countries. At Webb, Jordan is a day-student from Claremont. He is an athlete; he participates in functional fitness in the fall, and plans to join soccer in the winter and golf in the spring. One quirk about Jordan is that he is the founder of a meme page on Instagram that has amassed nearly eighteen-thousand followers. Jordan is excited to foster his love of learning during his remaining four years at Webb.
