Scout Zischke
Scout Zischke (‘22), a boarding student from Beacon, NY, is a professional stage actor and United States presidential history buff. As the child of two actors, she was introduced to the professional theatre community when her dad landed her a job in Vermont for two months. She performed as Belinda Cratchit and young Belle in A Christmas Carol at the age of twelve. “Starring in a professional production opened me up because I was able to see myself as a completely new and different person.” Her seven-year passion for U.S. presidential history started when she would scan through facts, memorize them, and annoy her parents like crazy as an elementary schooler with her accumulated knowledge. Scout’s favorite president to learn about is Woodrow Wilson. While she enjoys performing on stage, she has become invested in a new and unexpected passion during her first few months at Webb: running varsity cross country. Scout is looking to participate in the new track clinic during the winter, and definitely plans on running long-distance track in the spring. After Webb, Scout would like to follow a career path relating to economics or law.
