Netflix

By now, everyone knows what Netflix is, especially since “Netflix and chill” has become a popular leisure activity. Netflix is one of the original online-streaming platforms that opened to the public. Started originally in 1997, Netflix, owned exclusively by Netflix, Inc., rebranded in 2014 to become the Netflix we know of today. Netflix currently holds a combination of leased products from other production companies such as American Horror Story from FX. Recently, Netflix has announced a series of original content which will be  exclusively distributed and owned by Netflix. Many Netflix originals, such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, became massive hits, and Netflix is aiming to expand their original database to bring more exclusive content to its most loyal subscribers. Netflix has hired directors and actors such as Ryan Murphy, Janet Mock, Will Smith, Ryan Renolds, and Adam Sandler. Netflix currently offers three different plans: basic, standard, and premium, which range between $8.99 and $15.99 per month.
