Creating a cheaper and more accessible sleep tracker

To gather cohesive information about your sleep, extensive tests or an expensive watch is often required. Rachel Bai (‘22) identified that reality as an issue and wanted to create an easier and more accessible way to track sleep. “I wanted to create a low cost but still effective way to measure sleep quality,” said Rachel. Rachel designed and built a small, cheap sleep tracker to monitor quality of sleep. In the experiment, she used a computer machine to analyze sleep quality. “My favorite part was getting to build and 3D print stuff on my own,” said Rachel.
