The Great Escape

You have three minutes left to escape from the lab through the sewer tunnels to safety. Can you do it? Andrew Neyer, math department faculty, brought his group to three different escape rooms where room designers answered questions about their creative process, building process, and budget. Trapped! Escape Room and the Exit Game hosted groups of eight people while Chronos Escape Room challenged smaller groups of four to five. Each of the escape rooms showcased different aspects of the experience; some utilized high-tech gadgets while others made use of word and number puzzles. The group learned the science behind a successful room and built two rooms on campus a supernatural-themed one in Jackson Library and a mystery-themed one in the Fawcett Library. They handcrafted puzzles and created storylines with specific themes for a fully immersive experience for anyone who chooses to participate in the Webb community.
