Kayaking the Colorado River

What do Brian Caldwell, Rick Duque, kayaks, and delicious self-cooked breakfast have in common? They could all be found during the first-ever Unbounded course Kayaking the Colorado River! For four days and three nights, students paddled about eight miles per day and slept in bone-chilling temperatures every night. Braving and navigating through the flat, beautiful, green water of the Colorado River, students pushed the limits of their physical endurance to reach the final destination of Fisher’s Landing in Arizona. When they took a break from their intensive paddling each morning, the students caught the sunrise and cooked breakfast at Walter’s Campground and Picacho Campground. The tranquility of the Colorado River gave students time to escape from their busy lives and to truly explore what the world has to offer.
