Kevin Wang

As just a freshman, Kevin Wang is already enrolled in AP Calculus BC, arguably the most challenging mathematical course offered at Webb. He was born in New Jersey, moved to Shanghai, and most recently lived in Dublin, CA. With the goal of finishing Webb’s math curriculum with Linear Algebra as a sophomore, Kevin plans to take advanced STEM courses at the Claremont Colleges to further push his abilities as an upperclassman. He is interested in taking AP Physics C as a junior, as well as advanced computer science and multivariable calculus his senior year. Kevin said, “I like math as a hobby. My favorite type of math is theoretical math. Sometimes, you are given a seemingly unsolvable problem, but in the end, it all unfolds into a really beautiful concept. I prefer Webb’s teaching style to what I experienced in middle school because of its smaller class size, lots of practice questions, and instant feedback from my teacher.”
