Gregory Tolmochow (‘21) grew up in an outdoorloving family who have spent their holidays camping all across America in their RV. Over quarantine, however, Gregory discovered a passion for road-biking

“When I get on my bike, it really takes my mind of off things as I listen to music and absorb the beautiful scenery around me, Gregory said.

While Gregory typically cycles along Baseline Road around his Rancho Cucamonga home, he occasionally likes to switch things up to explore the greater Southern California landscape, such as tackling a three-hour hill climb covering almost 6000 ft of elevation to the top of Mount Baldy or biking 60 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

“Biking is a great way to take a break from the screen and just learn to appreciate what nature has to offer. I’d advise new students especially to spend as much time as they can outdoors and not spend too much time with video games,” Gregory said.
