Sweaters and Tops

As the cold weather persists and students aspire to keep warm, Webb has seen an abundance of students bundled up with patterned sweaters, long-sleeved tops, and cozy jackets.

A common outfit seen across both schools requires a puffer vest over a hoodie. The outfit both keeps one warm while still nodding to current fashion trends seen over social media and out in the public.

“I wear this outfit once or twice a week,” Andy Falk (‘25) said.

Like the puffer vest, puffer jackets in all kinds of materials are found all over campus. From black leather puffers to brown corduroy puffers, the piece brings comfort and warmth while elevating the outfit with a fun silhouette.

Fluffy jackets rival the puffers as their soft materials and variety of colors are addictive for students. From fleece to fur, the fuzzy jackets keep the cold away, giving students the feeling of being wrapped in a blanket.

Knit sweaters also come in all shapes and sizes. At Webb, students can be seen in sweaters that include cotton turtlenecks, oversized striped sweaters, and thick cable-knit sweaters. These tops are worn by themselves or as layers under jackets in case the extra warmth is needed.

“I’ve been wearing a lot of grandpa sweaters,” Valeria Gonzalez (‘23) said. “I think they’re both stylish and they keep me very warm.”

Beyond the usual hoodie, winter has seen a variety of sweaters and tops worn at Webb. Both fashionable and warm, these trends are here to stay as the cold weather continues.
