Shoes and Accessories

Students have begun to take many unique accessories out of their closets to wear around campus in the cold air. From knit beanies to vintage-styled shoes, shoes and accessories are a great way to heighten an outfit and create extra warmth against the cold.

Different styled hats have popped up all around campus. Students can be seen in baseball caps, knit beanies, and fluffy aviator hats which help accent an outfit with their bright or nude colors. Students also use these accessories simply to keep warm rather than dressing for the trends.

“I don’t usually accessorize myself, but I’m wearing a beanie because I’m cold,” Candice Tang (‘26) said.

Vintage shoes have also been a trend during this winter season and many students hope to add a few pieces to their wardrobes. Many companies like Nike, New Balance, and Reebok have created shoes in cream colors, pastels, and warm nudes that are both comfortable and trendy.

Jewelry remains popular amongst students as they wear their gold chains, silver necklaces, and hoop earrings. Some students have gotten ready for the holidays with winter themed jewelry, such as Valeria Gonzalez (‘23) who can be seen daily with shiny gift bows or bright lights on her ears.

“I have like seven different Christmas earrings that I’ve been wearing throughout these past few weeks,” Valeria said.

In a similar fashion, many students have been decked out in fluffy socks and scarves as they prepare for winter break. Common patterns include polka dots, plaid, and Christmas favorites like Santa Claus.

With new trends popping up and year-round pieces staying in student’s wardrobes, winter accessories enhance the holiday spirit around Webb.
