Samuel Zeiden

Although he has not held a single club event all year, Samuel Zeiden (‘23) is proud to call himself the president of Webb’s Jewish Club. Don’t worry though, Sam makes up for this by fully committing as president of the Investment Club, mentoring underclassmen and cultivating his love for business. Sam is a true leader, always seen DJing at student government events as vice executive and giving rousing pep talks to his fellow “brothers” as a captain of Webb’s varsity basketball team. But don’t be fooled by Samuel’s mountain of responsibilities — he rarely displays stress and is constantly bantering with his fellow classmates and teachers, especially Mr. Owers, whose enthusiasm keeps him engaged in AP Calculus. During the day, Sam walks around campus with a hat on, saying “Hi” to everyone he sees. At night, he unwinds by playing FIFA with Bobby (which he loses because he did not game enough freshman year to be a true gamer) and watching Interstellar. Kicking off adulthood next year, Sam will be majoring in Economics at the University of Virginia, with plans of eventually moving back to New York City to start his investment banking career and then ultimately heading his very own private equity firm. With his bright future, Sam will not forget to visit home, or homes, in Thailand and Hong Kong. And he will surely never forget his home at Webb, a place where he met his closest friends and matured into the person he is today.

Sam’s like Joe Biden. He’s always sleeping, but he’s important to the community.

— Clarence Deng ('23)
