Sebastian Hofmann

A true Bay Area guy from Los Altos, Sebastian Hofmann can often be spotted around campus in his grey Patagonia sweater, actively engaged in “conversation about various intellectual topics” with his close group of friends. Although he appreciates Webb’s academically rigorous environment taking advantage of its unique humanities curriculum through classes like Honors Ethics and Modern Global Affairs and AdvSt. The Cold War Era he equally enjoys playing video games when he can turn his brain off. Also notable is Sebastians love for cross country, not because he is good at it, but because of the supportive and noncompetitive team that encourages every runner to do their best especially those on junior varsity. Looking back, Sebastian would tell his younger self to be more open and take opportunities, get out of his comfort zone, and stop worrying so much. After saying goodbye to Webb, Sebastian will return to his childhood home in the bay to attend the University of California, Berkeley where he will study political economy. He is also looking forward to being only a twohour BART ride away from home. Even though he is excited about his future in the economy, Sebastian will miss his friends, his classes, and especially a conveniently compact campus that requires only a five-minute walk to get anywhere.

He has a lot of jokes and quotes rotating in his brain at all times, and a lot of them are not even his own stories. Its just stuff he’s read.
