Rosemary Luo

Entering the Webb community halfway through high school is a tough transition, yet Rosemary Luo made Webb the perfect fit. As the manager of the badminton team, she is a warm friend and a motherly companion. She comforts others when they lose a match, but she is also there to share their excitement for a winning strike. Aside from school, Rosemary loves to spend her free time on the weekends bonding with her family, sharing meals together, playing games with her brother, and hanging out with friends. When she attends UC Davis in the fall, Rosemary hopes to study STEM on a Pre-Med track, eventually working to become a surgeon. As someone equally passionate about the humanities, which she explored in Dr. Hartle’s Creative Writing class, Rosemary will explore a diverse array of interesting topics in the next four years. If she were to go back to her freshman self, a very key piece of advice that she would give to herself is to be more ambitious and try her best to get what she wants –– an attitude she will carry into her future.

She is the best friend I could ever have in this life, she can act like my mom (she legit tucked me in once), my friend, my teacher, my colleague, or even my acting partner for my story; though she sometimes is busy, she still saves time for us to watch shows, sing late night karaoke, and gossip together.
