Jamie Zeng

Jamie Zeng is one of the warmest people that you will ever meet on Webb’s campus. As a naturally caring and compassionate leader, Jamie serves as the head prefect of Appleby and captain of the varsity badminton team, becoming the number one go-to when you need comfort or help, whether you are an incoming freshman or a new dorm prefect. An integral part of the theater, Jamie fondly recalls the times she participated in the fall play of Dracula. Although she played the role of Mina Harker perfectly, Jamie did not start off so comfortably on stage. Always challenging her limits, she joined the musical in eighth grade to overcome her insecurity of stage fright and public speaking. Jamie’s determination to conquer her weakness will continue through her pursuit of hobbies in college. With a concentration in Neuroscience or Biology, Jamie also harbors a passion for the humanities. Fiction allows her to express her feelings and emotions in a completely different way than science labs can, and creative writing is a sink for her to fill in all her imagination. Through her next four years at Wellesley College, Jamie plans to explore her possibilities in labs, med school, and libraries.
