George Cardenas

If you are walking around the campus and suddenly hear the most beautiful piano sound you’ve ever heard, or see a guy playing CS:GO on his MacBook in the library, you have just encountered George Cardenas. A talented pianist, Geroge has an artistic sensibility and great dedication to his craft. With his genuine warmth that instantly puts people at ease, it is easy to see why so many of his friends would say that he is one of the most compassionate and friendly people you will ever meet. George loves a challenge; his incredible work ethic and dedication allow him to overcome anything he puts his mind to. Fittingly, George will major in neuroscience at the University of Southern California. He chose this field due to its captivating nature and the mysterious and perplexing nature of how the brain functions.Like neuroscience, George himself is also a confusing and interesting individual who keeps people on their toes with his unique perspective and approach to life. Undoubtedly, George plans on continuing his piano career at USC Thornton School of Music along with neuroscience. In five years, George sees himself pursuing piano professionally and continuing his academic studies.

George is a contradiction. When he used to be vegan, he would say, “My favorite vegan meal is a Blueberry Chicken Salad from Panera.
