Sid Sinha

Sid Sinha is the man, the myth, and the legend at Webb. Born and raised in Palm Springs, California, he is a storyteller at heart, as a conversation with him never disappoints. From an early age, he heard his grandparents tell the story of the Ramayana, a Hindu epoch, sparking his interest in human mythos. Sid’s love of mythology later blossomed in his favorite class at Webb, Honors Mythology and the Hero’s Journey. Sid also loves to build and collect, as he maintains a large army of action figures and Lego MOCS (my own creations) of Star Wars. Despite his grandparentschagrin that they block their bookshelf, Sid insists,Nah, the world must see this. He hopes to share underrepresented mythology and stories from around the world, currently working on a story about a modern world where myths are true. On the weekends, he loves to hang out with his friends, watch movies, and play video games together. As a prefect for East Alamo, he understands the importance of community, and will miss the one at Webb, where everyone knows each other even if they aren’t close friends. Looking toward the future, Sid will be majoring in Classical Literature at Sarah Lawrence College and hopes to publish the story he has been working on for the past two years.

He’s actually quite a good debater. We got into a discussion about free will one time, and at some point, he threw his shoes onto the roof. It didn’t really prove that he has free will, but his absolute conviction shook me to the ground. I was like ‘fine, if he has free will, he has free will.’
