Richard Wu

Richard Wu is the definition of a triple threat. On top of being a phenomenal basketball manager and player, Ricky lives his life in threes. For example, he plays three instruments: the guitar, the piano, and his own voice. At almost every Webb event even if it’s not a musicrelated event you can hear Ricky’s angelic voice. He explores his creative side as the frontman in his band, The Tonics. He has also resided in three different places. Richard was born in Boston, Massachusetts, moved to Shanghai at the age of six, and has studied in California since he was 16. In California, his friends have given him many different names, more specifically, three main ones: Ricky. Richard. Rick. Ricky Wu goes by many names, but who actually is Mr. Wu? Well, his legal name is Richard, and he is a multi-named, multi-talented, and multi-faceted person. Ricky is always tapped in with the latest trends, playing Pokémon Go, discussing the most recent Minecraft update, or even catching up with the trendiest musical artist at the time (Rick’s latest obsession is Ice Spice). On the outside, Richard seems like he is always juggling his many different interests and talents, but on the inside, he would much rather focus on one thing at a time. Look at Ricky, man. So inspirational! Richard is a triple threat but also a triple inspiration: always pushing himself athletically, creatively, and academically, Richard will be studying anthropology at Northwestern University.

Ricky is an interesting individual. If you hear a random scream at a sports game or any school play, you know he’s in the crowd.
