Split between two homes in Hong Kong and San Francisco, CA, Ian Chang will take his biology talents to a third home, in Pittsburgh, PA. Ian’s transformative experience with Mr. Choi’s Evolutionary Biology class and his hard work as a student leader in the international student liaison will help him rise to success as a Tartan. Outside of the classroom, Ian plays golf and even runs the infamous Webb Golf Instagram account that has definitely shown up on your Explore page, with hilarious captions every time. Those images show him making half of the swings he takes and mastering each hilarious caption of every post. He regrets not letting his curious and adventurous personality shine more as he stepped foot onto Webb. But now, Ian can proudly walk up to any stranger and bond over his love for basketball, Valorant, the Bay Area, and Modern Family. Is Ian like the controversial Modern Family character Manny? He thinks so. He is loveable, charming, and protective like Manny, after all: protective over his adorable poodle, Bailey, and his beloved basketball team, the Golden State Warriors. If you visit open gym on Fridays, you might catch Ian impersonating Steph Curry with his impressive 3-pointers. In a few years, Ian will be doing research on diseases in a biology lab, looking to fix your future medical health issues. He’ll take his golf, basketball, and global personality to explore a new corner of the world, the East Coast!
