Valeria Gonzalez

Meeting Valeria Gonzalez is like listening to a song. First, she makes an introduction that catches your attention. A boarder from Upland, Valeria is multi-faceted. She played on the VWS varsity soccer team for four years and now cherishes the practices during sunset. However, she is also known for being the biggest Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator fanValeria will proudly explain why her music taste is superior to anyone else’s. Transitioning from a verse to a chorus, Valeria’s storyline deepens with complexity. As a peer advisor, she enjoys connecting with younger students and doing everything to improve life as a freshman. You will also learn that her days are crammed with several adventures, like a song that simultaneously uses vocals, instruments, and a beat. She can be found at concerts, cooking at Mr. Choi’s house, watching New Girl on Netflix, or hanging out with her sister in Los Angeles. Like relatable lyrics, Valeria offers opportunities to emotionally engage with those she cares about. Sensitive and empathetic, she knows what her friends are feeling before they know it themselves. At the end of a song, the listener typically resonates with a theme conveyed by the artist. For Valeria, her high school career has revolved around diversity and education. At the University of Southern California, she will be majoring in Latin American studies to become a teacher for lowerincome communities. Like the music that has changed Valeria’s life, Valeria’s efforts will soon change other communities for the better.

Music is her entire personality. I have never seen her without at least one Airpod in. And her music taste is superior, but it is really annoying because she needs everyone to know it.
