Farhana Khera

Farhana Khera is the president and executive director of Muslim Advocates, a sister agency of the National Association of Muslim Lawyers (NAML). NAML aims to promote “equality, liberty and justice through legal advocacy and development of public policy.” When Khera attended Cornell Law School in the 1990’s, she recalled only three other Muslim students. The work of Muslim Advocates and NAML aims to increase the number of Muslim lawyers and law students. Farhana Khera is a public figure and recently critiqued President Trump’s executive order barring immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries in the New York Times. Khera argued that even the revised version represented an “all-out assault on Islam and Muslims.”
