Nancy Lin

Nancy Lin is a princess in real life. For evidence of her storybook bonafides, look no further than the masquerade-themed prom at Padua Hills Theater. Nancy’s genius for pageantry guaranteed magical lights, floral decor, and bubble machines. Whether tirelessly planning every detail of the Homecoming Dance as the vice executive of student government or confidently promoting newly published articles during community dinners as the Editor-in-Chief of the WCC, Nancy brings an unparalleled passion to everything she does. Born in Shanghai, China and moving to Vancouver when she was eight, Nancy embodies a blend of Western culture amidst her Chinese roots, seamlessly bridging the day student and boarding community through her bubbly personality. Although she occasionally spends too much money shopping –– zooming through the racks while her best friend is left on the boyfriend couch –– Nancy’s impeccable fashion taste and personal philosophy of “looking presentable constantly inspire every underclassman. Even during sleepy afternoons, refreshed from her afterschool power nap and energy drink, Nancy always dons a pink lululemon sports bra, pink shorts, and pink water bottle, and delves into an intense set of leg workouts accompanied by hardcore drill music. As she ventures off to Cornell University, Nancy plans to explore the social sciences with a concentration in communications, eventually considering corporate law practice on the east coast. Despite missing the beautiful dances during homecoming and prom season, it is a comfort to know that her princess energy that has so long graced Webb will continue to shine in her next kingdom.

I’m very quiet; she’s very talkative. I’m very shy; she’s very extroverted. I like to keep things very simple; she likes to go all out. I can calm her down; she can get me excited. It’s just the perfect balance.
