Nancy Lin, Copy Editor

Nancy Lin (‘23) is the current Copy Editor at the Webb Canyon Chronicle, with a strong interest in a variety of media. While she was born in Shanghai, China, she moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of eight, and currently alternates between the two locations. Nancy enjoys watching Netflix, baking, listening to music, and spending time with friends. She particularly enjoys baking sweets, such as cakes and cookies, and watching shows such as Money Heist and Brooklyn 99, as well as movies such as The Notebook. As for music, you can find her listening to R&B and hip-hop artists such as 21 Savage, The Weeknd, and Daniel Caesar. When not watching the latest episode of Money Heist or listening to R&B, she can likely be found enjoying a bowl of ramen, hotpot, or Korean barbeque. As Copy Editor, Nancy enjoys observing different writing styles, seeing how to improve her own writing and interviewing skills. She is especially interested in broad social issues last year, particularly the heightened Asian American racism due to the current pandemic and hopes to raise awareness of current issues through thoughtful and impactful journalism.
