Sydney Morales, Staff Writer
Ambition and creativity are prominent traits of an Aries; Sydney Morales (‘25) is excited to join the Webb Canyon Chronicle as a staff writer, producing lively articles as she explores and reports on the lives of fellow Webb students. A cross country runner in the fall and an avid lover of the outdoors, Sydney spent her summer hiking with her dad around West LA, her hometown. During her time away from Webb, Sydney enjoyed eating her mom’s homemade tamales and catching up on some much-needed sleep. After recharging in her hometown, she comes to Webb and as a self-described “howling monkey” a creature whose loudness and energy matches her exuberant spirit—equipped with a strong presence and excitement. This year, Sydney hopes to continue promoting diversity and inclusion at Webb through her active involvement in the Latinx affinity group. A fan of the humanities and other forms of art, Sydney’s favorite class is American Idea, and she loves to watch psychological horror k-dramas such as Strangers from Hell. Her appreciation for the horror genre also leads her to listen to crime podcasts and learn more about human psychology. Although the Webb Canyon Chronicle does not have a section for true crime, Sydney is ready to write with passion about issues that are important to her and the Webb community.
