Everyone knows Kathy Duan (‘25) as a strong social justice advocate, not to mention, a sports fanatic. As a natural leader, Kathy's roles as the vice president and admission ambassador she has been given the opportunity to implement change, one step at a time. When it comes to sports, Kathy is super-star, as she is on the varsity water polo and swim team here at Webb. You can always count on Kathy to stand up for change and make a splash on not just Webb’s community but the world's community. This past summer, Kathy started a non-profit supporting people who want to be debaters but could not afford it. The non-profit supports people need to go into debate camps and more. Fueled by her social work and love for the humanities, Kathy will continue developing her passion for political science during her time at the Webb Canyon Chronicle. Joining as a staff writer, Kathy will voice her opinions on things she is passionate about and use her personal experiences to shed light on issues currently happening in the world. The world may not be ready for Kathy’s intense love for leadership and sports, but she is sure is ready to show the world the importance of providing opportunities for success to all people regardless of their differences.
