Heloise Robertson

Heloise Robertson is a double agent. Born in Qatar but raised in Shanghai, China, Heloise is a cosmopolitan city girl at heart. Growing up, she loved exploring the streets of Puxi alone, absorbing the city’s unique pulse and beautiful blend of Western and Eastern cultures –– her calming nature contrasting with the bustling world around her. At Webb, Heloise has discovered her niche with storytelling and served as the Chief Copy Editor of the WCC, yet her ability to notice themes and make genuine connections with people extends beyond journalism. An ardent fan of horror movies and murder mysteries, Heloise has thrived in AdvSt. Gothic and Horror Literature and Culture, where her investigative nature enabled her to catch the subtle symbolism that others often miss in works like Dracula and Frankenstein. Outside the classroom, Heloise is an active player on the VWS basketball team, serving as the junior varsity captain and eventually joining the varsity team. Despite self-identifying as the number one benchwarmer, Heloise views the team as a second family who would cheer wholeheartedly for her after her first score at her senior game. One thing Heloise loves more than basketball is her friends, always lending an empathetic ear should they need it. As she embarks on the next chapter of her life –– studying journalism at New York University –– Heloise will miss the weekend Kazama Sushi tradition she cherished with her friends, catching up on Bojack Horseman during the weekends, and most of all, the precious relationships she formed in the community.
