Eunice Lau

If you hear hysterical laughing on campus, chances are it is probably Eunice. Whether she is alone, with friends, or with complete strangers, Eunice always finds a way to giggle. Even after a disastrous musical rehearsal that left her with a dislocated patella, Eunice and her friends could not stop laughing as she rolled through the health center in a wheelchair, putting on quite a show for the nurses. Speaking of putting on a show, Eunice is quite the theatre kid. Tech stage manager in the fall, dancer in the winter, and musical lead in the spring, Eunice’s angelic voice and rockstar dance moves are an immense asset to the theatre program at Webb. Beyond the theatre, Eunice is a smart cookie, tackling rigorous STEM classes while enjoying the creativity provided by the humanities. Eunice describes her favorite class, Advanced Studies Existentialism and the Human Condition, as “an experience.” Despite a challenging curriculum, Eunice found Dr. Hartle’s Existentialism class to be a supportive environment full of insightful discussions. Although she hopes to pursue medicine at UC Irvine, Eunice does not plan to abandon her artistic pursuits anytime soon. Set on continuing her passion for music, Eunice’s next big goal is to complete her debut album, a longtime dream of hers. As she ventures off to college, Eunice will miss the Webb campus and most importantly, the precious connections she has formed here. Nonetheless, we are excited to see her future endeavors as both an artist and a scholar.

I’ve never met someone quite like Eunice… she’s annoyingly talented but she’s still a ray of sunshine with sparkles and rainbows.
