Self-proclaimed “kind of a big deal around here,” you might recognize Stratton Rebish’s trademark green sweatshirt around campus. Despite the playful and slightly egotistic nature of this self-assessment, no one can deny Stratton’s noteworthy contributions to the Webb community. As a Head Peer Advisor and Editor-in-Chief of the Webb Canyon Chronicle, Stratton consistently goes above and beyond, taking care of incoming freshmen and staff writers who need help. Though it might seem like an unexpected pairing, Stratton’s agility as team captain and defensive end of the WSC varsity football team in the fall corresponds with his impressive vocal pipes on the spring Liu Cheung musical stage. However, what makes Stratton truly stand out is not his endless leadership commitments or extra-curriculars — it is his quirky sense of humor that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’ve witnessed his chapel talk-turned–fashion–walk or experienced his exaggerated gestures in conversation, spending time with Stratton is guaranteed to leave you laughing. As he moves to Georgetown University with a major in Government, Stratton will surely be the next “big deal” in his new community.
