Misconceptions about Sehoon Kang linger around campus. Firstly, his frequent presence at IPC office hours makes it easy to mistake him for a sophomore while he is tutoring younger peers. Secondly, as co-head of the honor council, many think Sehoon exudes a serious aura; but in reality, he is an optimistic thinker who leads with approachability. Outside of Jackson Library, he and his friends find themselves embroiled in mischief, like when they tricked Mr. Kozden into believing Sehoon had a girl in his closet. Lastly, most assume his talents are limited to the world of chemistry. As founder of Chemistry Club and participant of the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair, he is a passionate scientist. Sehoon, however, is much more multi-talented. He recently dazzled audiences at Jubilee with a debut performance, showcasing his vocal power with a Bruno Mars hit. Sehoon also shares his South Korean culture with other students through culinary work, particularly his soybean stew. Most importantly, Sehoon possesses a gentle heart. Whether offering massages or relationship advice, he radiates empathy and strives to brighten the lives of those around him. Preparing to study chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sehoon will continue to defy expectations.
