Never fear, Parker is here! All the way from Bangkok, Thailand, Parker Tanyawong came swinging into Webb as a transfer sophomore student. He stepped up to the plate in Alamo, participating in dorm life and the endless SoCal excursions that awaited him. Soaking in the California sun, Parker enjoys spending his weekends catching waves, hiking Mount Baldy, and cooking his favorite dish: Ossobuco. When he is not capturing his weekend escapades on his film camera, Parker has enjoyed immersing himself in the Webb community. Being a peer advisor his junior year, joining in on Webb Night andWebb Day, and eating delicious ham during the annual Alamo pig roast have been some of his most unforgettable experiences throughout the years. Putting his height and insane hops to good use, Parker has also been a part of the WSC basketball and track and field teams, where he reached his personal record of 5’8’’ in the high jump event. Although Parker has already explored the Serengeti and gone skydiving with friends, he still desires to make more memories and truly take in all the places possible that he has yet to explore. In the fall, he will kick-start another adventure at Santa Clara University, studying Finance, where Parker hopes he can make a true difference in the world.
