Webbies danced the night away on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 to determine the ultimate winner of Theme Night and in turn, Theme Week. Adorned in their class colors to show spirit and unity, each class worked together to coreograph, practice, and organize a dance. “Theme night was really exciting because it gave me a chance to talk to people in my class,” said Jarra Jallow (‘25). “It was almost like an ice breaker for people who don’t know each other as well, it brought us together through class spirit.” Each class drumrolled in anticipation, watch to find out.

About the Contributors
Berklee Antecol, Chief of Social Media
Berklee Antecol (‘25) radiates like the sun, and loves to embrace the thrilling waves of the sea. As a surfer of the sea, she is always up for a new adventure. Just like her recent upgrade of her favorite meal from chicken nuggets to steak and fries. Her love for numbers and market analysis leads her to be a top student in math and economic courses at Webb. Berklee strives to work in the analytical side of the fashion industry, but she spent her summer exploring other fields of expertise, including an internship at an AI company. Her optimistic energy shines through her work as a peer advisor and admission ambassador. She is driven by her desire to spread kindness and her love to engage with everyone in the community. This year, Berklee aims to become more flexible with her content planning in newsroom as Chief of Social Media of the Webb Canyon Chronicle.

Ava Crane, Staff Writer
If you ever need someone to help escape the stresses of daily life with, Ava Crane (‘25) is the person to go to. Whether it is cheering during Varsity Volleyball games or laughing with friends on a school day, there is never a dull moment with Ava. She makes sure to talk to someone she loves every day, helping their worries fade away. When she is not brightening peoples’ days, she can be found reading stories she loves, like Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. However, her love for strong female leads goes beyond books. Taylor Swift’s songs and storytelling capture Ava’s heart, just as Ava captures many others. Inspired by the narrative of her strong mother's career, Ava has always been enchanted by stories. With that fascination, Ava plans to explore Journalism in the newsroom as a staff writer, transforming from a reader to a writer. With her love for stories and ambition, Ava is ready to embrace another medium this year.
