Siena Burke is always working her hardest, whether on the basketball court shooting threes or on the track—breaking the school’s four by four record. Siena is an exceptional, well-rounded athlete, but beyond sports, she’s a vivacious presence at Webb who is always around to chat or reminisce about her time as a chamber singer. Even though she lives on a runner’s high, Siena knows that motivation doesn’t always come easily—sometimes, she has to dig deep to push through. For her, this motivation comes from sports. The sports she plays keep her disciplined, and in moments when she loses focus, she realizes that whatever she doesn’t want to do is better than doing 300 repeats at track practice! Siena’s time as an athlete taught her the importance of hard work, giving her the strength to push through whatever life throws at her. Next year, Siena is taking these skills all the way to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she will spend her first semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Although Siena is excited for this new adventure, and to see what life has in store for her, she also acknowledges the one she is leaving behind. So, her final words of wisdom to rising Seniors at Webb it would be to not stress out and pause and enjoy the moment.
