If you’re on the hunt for Ella Chin, you’d better have the eyes of a hawk because she is always on the move. Still, there’s a good chance you’ll find her year-round in her natural habitat: the pool deck. Whether she’s playing water polo, managing the team, or swimming, Ella is sure to be there. In fact, the pool deck is practically her second home—some might even say she’s there more often than at her own house. That is, unless you’re looking for her on the weekends—then you’re more likely to find Ella curled up in bed, fast asleep. But when she’s not napping, she’s brightening everyone’s day with her bubbly personality, sharp sarcasm, and nonstop humor. On campus, besides making everyone laugh, she works hard as a day student prefect, keeping a watchful eye on the library like a hawk. Even off duty, Ella is like a hawk in the pool—she swims at great speeds and moves with effortless grace. It’s clear Ella will carry these skills into next year when she claims a new pool deck at Claremont McKenna College. While she will miss her friends at Webb, she can’t wait to spot new prey and take down the competition playing water polo for CMS.
