Who is Jarra Jallow? This question may sound odd, but it was a trend of the 2022-2023 school year. ‘Why?’ you may be asking. Well, Jarra was first known on campus for her famous STAS email back in her sophomore year, where she “beefed” with the class of 2023 over theme night, leading to the joke questioning her existence. Now we know and love Jarra, not for her beef with the 2023 seniors, but for her ability to bring positive energy and vibes everywhere she goes. Jarra brings together the Webb community daily through her commitment to the Baháʼí Faith, whether that is with her weekly devotional meetings or by always making her home a gathering space for others. Jarra truly embodies the saying “mi casa su casa.” It is clear that Jarra is now known by everyone, coming a long way from her sophomore year, as she works hard on campus as a head peer advisor, building a welcoming community for everyone. Next year, Webb will be missing a big piece of its community, the one and only Jarra Jallow, but it is exciting to see who Jarra will become next year during her gap year of service in Upland, CA.
