The secret beauty of the wilderness trails surrounding campus is mostly unknown to Webbies not enrolled in a running-related afternoon activity, but not to La Verne local Jonathan Li. Jonathan has spent his time racing toward each challenge with a mindset only the most dedicated runners can have. Throughout his Webb career, Jonathan has picked up two main hobbies—Cross Country and Robotics—and once he starts something, he’ll continuously run toward mastering whatever skills required to succeed. For example, after falling in love with robotics freshman year, he qualified for state championships each year and last year, his team was a finalist. However, as motivated as he is, even the most skilled runner needs a rest—for Jonathan, his one wish would be to stop scheduling his life around assignments and to live more for his other hobbies, such as playing the flute for his favorite class, Honors Orchestra. As Jonathan pursues his interest in robotics at UCLA with an intended major in mechanical engineering, Webbies will be left running after his dedicated footsteps to witness what endurance and perseverance can achieve next.
