You might not know Tyler Liu by name, but you’ve definitely seen him dominating in robotics competitions with his team Σ^3, shining on stage in the fall play and spring musical, or sprawling across the library couches in the strangest, most uncomfortable-looking positions imaginable. Tyler brings his own sense of humor and chaos to those around him, just like his napping positions. He also balances the activities he participates in at Webb, the focused intensity of robotics with the laid-back fun of theatre, his competitive drive with quiet time watching videos in the library. Although he describes himself as extroverted but chill, there’s always something upside down and quirky about him, like the time he tried to convince a teacher the earth was flat during a freshman-year game of truth or dare. Tyler’s sense of humor is entirely his own, filled with unexpected, but specific jokes that leave his friends in tears of laughter. Tyler lives between worlds, and he will take that balance and humor with him wherever he goes next.
