Born in Hong Kong and raised in the Bay Area, Christina Young grew up surrounded by city and ocean pollution, an experience that inspired her deep passion for environmental conservation. Christina created her podcast and worked with non-profit organizations. To continue this work in high school, she serves as president of both the Biomedical Club and Chemistry Club while also being an admissions fellow for three years. With her strong passion for animals and the environment, Christina enjoys working alongside Dr. Farke in the museum and taking his Advanced Paleontology class, where she actively engages in fieldwork and research. Beyond her environmental passions, Christina loves movies, playing basketball, scuba diving, horseback riding, and listening to music. She spends her time going on side quests and sharing meals with her best friend, Payton Delgado (’25). This fall, Christina is excited to go off to study environmental science on a pre–law track at Cornell University. She hopes her future will be busy, traveling with her three dachshund wiener dogs, eating good food, and immersing herself in the rigors of law school, all with a heart rooted in environmental justice.
