The story of Hanbo is the story of his hair. Coming into Webb from the great metropolis of Rancho Cucamonga, Hanbo rocked in his utilitarian buzzcut, saving no time to brush his hair or swing away bangs in front of his eyes. Whether he’s playing La Campanella to impress his crush or making Mapo tofu in his house, Hanbo gets it done with intense focus and passion, wiping sweat from his hairless forehead. You’ll often find him playing head spinning concertos on the clarinet or working day and night to promote restorative justice as an HC. But Hanbo is more than just a Stanford and Harvard admit; inspired by Mr. Hansen, Hanbo grew his hair out and reflected deeply on the influences of his life. Whether it’s debates on philosophy and MBTI at the last dinner table to be cleared or conversations on identity with Asian affinity, Hanbo is willing to question the world around him and open himself to new ideas. But one value Hanbo will never question is community. A supporter of community dinner and in-person connections, Hanbo will miss the small community at Webb which inspired him to break through the glass ceiling of short hair.
