At 8:20 am., most Webbies are still rubbing sleep from their eyes, throwing on whatever is at the top of their drawer as they rush to class. Leia Albornoz is the exact opposite of this familiar scene. No matter how good or bad the day is, she arrives at school dressed with intention, arranging outfits that are coordinated and conscious of texture and silhouette. That same sense of precision extends beyond her wardrobe into every corner of her life at Webb. Whether she’s leading the Asian Affinity Group, mentoring as a head peer Advisor, editing for the WCC, or captaining the Varsity Golf team, Leia brings dedication and focus, making sure freshman seminar curricula are up to date and articles get published on time. What truly earns the community’s trust is the way Leia approaches each responsibility with genuine care, prioritizing meaningful relationships with anybody and everybody across campus. This intentionality also shines through in her signature style. Leia doesn’t simply care about looking polished; rather, fashion is a form of self-expression that reflects her artistic eye. That same eye informs how she engages with the world: her love for art, museums, film, and fashion all intersect with her deeper passion for media representation and social justice, revealing a thoughtful connection between creativity and advocacy. Another community will be the recipient of Leia’s perfect outfits as she heads off to Occidental College with a major in Political Science and Film Studies, continuing to fuse creativity with purpose.
