On the surface Eric may seem timid, but if you really get to know him, you’ll discover a bold hidden sense of humor. In the Upper Dorms, Eric loves hanging out with his friends, watching sports—especially his favorite soccer team, FC Bayern Munich—and reading a good book. His friends shared that whenever they talk about anything, especially sports, he always finds a way to make everyone smile. Even in quiet spaces, his top-notch stands out. For instance, during his sophomore year in American Idea, Eric lightened the class atmosphere by making everyone laugh when he accidentally mispronounced Dr. Lauer’s name as Dr. Lawyer. When Eric isn’t making his friends laugh, he pours himself into perfecting his talent in math. He describes mathematics as his strongest academic suit and has used his love of quiet spaces to focus on the hobbies he values most: math and reading. In fact, Eric is one of the few people who genuinely enjoy reading outside of class. He shared that his favorite book so far is the The Three Body Problem. As Eric sets off to study mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University, the Webb campus will feel a little quieter without his brilliant, subtle humor.
