Now you see her, now you don’t. Ella Garcia, our very own Houdini, can be spotted swiftly exiting the day student parking lot and gearing up to take on new adventures around her hometown of La Verne. An adventurous spirit at heart, Ella sees the world as her oyster, and some of her most memorable experiences at Webb include hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain her sophomore year. While you may not spot her throughout the walkways on campus, you can count on Ella to make an appearance on Faculty Field scoring goal after goal for the girls’ soccer team, or even an hour away where she practices with her club team, Legends FC. Ella has mastered the act of disappearing, not out of sight, but into new experiences. Like magic, she vanishes and reappears, whether that means behind the counter in Stockdale as a day student prefect or enjoying a sunset on the beach. Next year, you will find Ella up the coast soaking up the sun while studying Kinesiology and Biology at the University of California Santa Barbara—or who knows, maybe she’ll be on the move searching for some new adventures.
