Despite living in a world filled with societal expectations and norms, Grace doesn’t let them stand in the way of her being her true self. Grace is always challenging traditional beliefs regardless of what others might think, because she’s not afraid of judgment. When Grace is passionate about something, she gives it her all, even if that means giving herself blisters from rock climbing or accidentally injuring herself during wrestling season. Furthermore, Grace demonstrates this same effort in those around her, filling her friends with joy and laughter from her unique sense of humor. During the evenings and weekends, you’ll often find her laughing with friends late at night in her room or eating takeout food in the Jones upstairs common area. Grace also puts a significant amount of effort into her schoolwork. If you’re ever walking past Jones, you’ll likely spot Grace through her large see-through dorm room window, sitting in her beanbag and working on her laptop. Grace adroitly balances her personal and academic work, allowing her time to pursue her interests, including spending time with friends, computer science, and reading travel novels. As Grace enters her freshman year at Harvey Mudd, majoring in fields that fascinate her, engineering and religious studies, there is no doubt that her way of approaching the world in her true, authentic self will bring her journey to amazing places.
