Ryan’s love for public transportation reflects what it means to truly be an explorer. When Ryan books flights, he purposely goes on transfer flights in hopes of immersing himself in foreign worlds. Rather than making strict itineraries during trips, he chooses to embrace the full experience by doing things spontaneously. These trips include adventures to nearby islands along Hong Kong and discovering new Claremont parks during his weekend bike rides. His love for adventure goes beyond physical experience and focuses on the connections and memories made with others. Ryan cherishes each friendship deeply, going out of his way to travel to downtown LA on a random Sunday to visit a friend he made during a train ride. His love for exploring is rooted in his personal appreciation for his Hong Kong roots and curiosity of other cultures. As the head international student liaison, Ryan has organized events including International Week and food workshops, fostering an environment where students of various backgrounds can share their cultures. Ryan’s passion for traveling and cultural immersion has shown us what it truly means to be an explorer, and we can’t wait to see what adventures he continues to go on in the future!
